This old motor may do the trick, if you can find one, (speed 700 turbo - C) will run on 12v. max 14v will soak up 250W.
or better a old Bullet 30 a rare beast 12v to 24v.
May be better to go lipo and brushless if speed is your thing.

I need to try that. Then my wife won’t know where is got money from. I like the idea and maybe a go fund me might help as prices are going up fast.

I think it's worth a try!!!
So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.
