The older dullcoat gets the less matte it becomes. As witnessed by my captain and mate. Another go is in the offing. 😉

1/24th is about G scale. Did you check that out?
On another note, figures with a glossy finish... has anyone had success in real dulling down the finish? I use matte (flat) paints and even Testors "Dullcote" but still have some gloss. Not so much as in person but in close-up photos.

As for the pix, the captain and mate in the middle are 1:24 scale while the other two pix are USCG crew (rough painted and unpainted) are 1:16th, both sets are by Luis.

Hi Peejay it is the postage US to UK that is the killer.
I wanted a printed OO gauge gear wheel from Shapeways and the postage was more than the item and added together I could buy a chassis for the same money.

Just checked my IngaIV and figures about 2.5 - 3 inches high would suit, about 1 : 24th scale.

I didn't ask you what scale your Inga IV model was in because I imagined you wrote it in the build section.
I reread it but I don't think it's written anywhere, sorry if it's there and I missed it.
I tried looking for the dimensions of an original model to do the calculation but I couldn't find anything.

Try this guy. He did me some 1/48th scale RN figures, unpainted but he can work to ant scale. Very reasonable too!

What scale is your crew? There are people who do figures with 3-D modeling, and can rescale them to a different size.

Alternatively, I looked at play sets in places like ‘The Dollar Store’ and found a plastic set of firemen that could be operated on to be my crew figures for a trawler.
