900MHz & 2.4 GHz don't work well if the antenna is immersed, for example, video feed from submarine camera, or 2.4 used for control.
And 2.4 in a carbonfibre glider fuselage is unreliable as the carbon fibre attentuates the rf signal intended for the receiver

Just clearing up a point. I have a dozen Spectrum and Orange receivers already. I was just concerned about 2.4Ghz and blocking due to water and in hull installation. Do you run additional aerial or are the Spektrum, Orange and Lemons just fine without this?

Hi John, I use Spektrum equipment, and the receivers I find best are, Spektrum AR6100e and for a cheaper one, from HobbyKing the Orange R615X works fine.
Cheers Pete😊

Hi,
Returning to modelling and I have a DX6i Tx and am seeking advice on suitable/best compatible Rx for use on surface (marine) models?
All input welcome (happy with clones as well as Spectrum kit)
Thanks in advance.
