Excellent idea, now on my to do list....Just a thought, a few different sized 90 degree notches in the movable part would make holding different diameters even more secure.....
If it don't fit, use a hammer to make it fit....

A quick clamp arrangement for holding those round and awkward shaped articles for drilling etc.
The pivot arm Is brought In to hold the work piece against the fixed arm, without any damage to It. Saves trying to hold It In your fingers or squashing It In the vice. Apply your finger pressure to both ends of the arms with just enough pressure to stop movement of the work piece.
Quick to use!
The baseboard can be replaced after a lot of use and drilling through. All cheap bits of timber offcuts. TRY IT.
