Hi Peejay, it's nice for me to have your opinion on the works that are shown in this forum, it doesn't matter if you've stopped your constructions.
Your opinions and advice, given your experience, are important.

PeeJay, you have a very interesting life history. While I am in Canada, I will still say "thank you for your service" 👍

Shipyard holidays

I didn’t need to visit harbors when I was younger, because I lived very close to the Niagara River, on which ships sailed past my street and could be seen further downstream. We also drove along the river into Buffalo, and sometimes through the ports in Lackawanna for the steel mills, and concrete and grain.

Also, many pleasure.craft, including Thunderboats, until they got too fast for the width of the river.

Many ports followed with service in the Navy and reserves.

Now beginning an extended break, as I have just had to give up my workspace because my long term care insurer suddenly decided to revoke its coverage. So I will continue to visit the members ‘ports’ and projects.
So many ships . . . and so little time . . .

Hi Mike, do you have any self-made photos (to share here) of the Mercator you saw in Ostend?
I would be very interested in the lifeboats at the moment but in this whole magnificent ship in general.

Hello everyone!
Everyone who builds model ships needs a holiday, rest and distraction so that they can gather new ideas and strength!

How do you handle this? Do you visit harbours or even specific ships? I myself visited the HMS Belfast in London some time ago. . . Amazing! Also in Ostend, the famous three-masted Mercator. Simply impressive! Even the Meyer shipyards in Pappenheim . . .

Tell us about yourselves!
Greetings Michel-C.
