Happy New Year jumpugly, personally I reckon leave as is, possibly a "sympathetic " spruce up. All the best for 2025

That’s an old (1968) IMC plastic kit for display only. It has a basic, but pretty scale interior worthy of kit bashing. Testors picked up the molds years back.
I’ve always wanted to build a ducted fan Lear type jet, possibly a Citation. But, don’t fly anymore as I wasn’t a very good pilot anyway!

H! I will be bothering you about the Scout and yes I will be glassing it. My biggest concern in the end is going to be ballast.
But, I will follow-up with you once I really get going.

I'm of the same opinion that it should be left as is. The beauty is in the simplicity and any additions would be at odds with this.

Scout is a wonderful build. I did two RC and my uncle did one for display. I used for boom ropes was stretchy material with a pin hook. Made it easier to remove parts for Rc access. In last one I fiberglassed hull. On first one hull got dings. The balsa is soft under the paint. I wish I had added smoke to it, sound and lights. Good sailing

Jumpugly,
Have a wonderful new year.
In my opinion the boat is a work of art. It cannot be improved.

Thanks for the kind words my friends!

But, as I've gotten older the boots have become more difficult to wear.

BTW: I've got some good Pinot Noir and Rum stored down there...for inspiration?!!!

Hey Alessandro, poah JumpUgly!
I would also like to retire here . . .
I would even “lick my fingers” in a craft room like this!
Totally awesome! At the moment I have my office table full of material so that my assistant can always be hired to paint . . (see my harbor under stern wheel steamer)
If I were in the cellar, it would be too dangerous, as the good red wines are stored further back . . . .
Greetings everyone, Michel-C.

PS: JumpUgly, did it knock your socks off? There are so many boots around!

Hi Michel!
Thank you for your reply and wisdom. I tend to agree and to be honest, I have become enamored with the purity of the hull shape.
As for airplane's hanging about the place. Here's a reverse angle of my work-shop where I hide and get lost as often as I can.

Hello and happy New Year estimated Jumpugly!
Honestly . . I think this ‘picture’ is very special, so you shouldn't add any more details.
This would spoil this unique design, because then the sail boom would also have to be
be mounted.
My own opinion:
I find this picture ‘Jumpugly Like’ !!! 👍🤣👍🤣👌👌👌
Michel-C.

Ps: I've only just discovered that there are a few aeroplanes hanging on the floorboard and wall in the background. I received a half-finished Bleriot for my 77th birthday. . I wonder if it will ever fly? I still have a lot of ship's bodies in the cellar ... 🙈🙈🙈

Happy New Year Gang!
Before I rebuild my bench for the ancient and monstrous (55") Sterling American Scout C-2 Cargo ship build, I kept myself occupied on Christmas break by cleaning up and mounting this (aforementioned) antique half hull of Carl Alberg's legendary Pearson Triton 28 that my wife gave to me for Christmas. It was from a thrift store 6 miles from the old Pearson Yachts factory in Bristol, Rhode Island.

The question is now, do I fabricate and mount a rudder or leave it as is?
Hmmmmm. 🤔
