Yeah, I thought it might be a French design coz it reminded me of one of the last generations of French steam locomotives. Huge and very powerful, but with metres of piping running along the outside of the boiler casing😮Like the innards had become 'outards'!
When I was a nipper I used to see them in Boulogne and Calais when we took day-trips across the Channel from Folkestone, my home town.
