Here's a trawler I built between 2000 and 2002. It's the Galaxie, 1:15 scale.
This vessel, built by the BENETEAU shipyards in Vendée, was registered in the maritime district of Les Sables d'Olonne under number LS 331146, with a DX FTEV radio.
It was launched on February 2, 1976, in the port of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie. Initially, it was named La MADOREE.
Over the years, it changed hands, leading to changes in its name and management. It was finally decommissioned in 1996 and then scrapped shortly thereafter.
This vessel, named Galaxie, was a pot-type trawler specializing in sardine fishing. It primarily fished for sardines during the summer season, using both line and net fishing techniques. In winter, it became a bottom trawler, exploiting the seabed to catch various species. The Galaxie was equipped with a three-compartment tank, designed to safely store various crustaceans: crabs, crayfish, and lobsters. The ship's capacity also included the transport of approximately 150 sardine crates.
She measure 90 cm long and 32 cm wide.
