Sadly , after 30yrs the water has "dried up" and the Hinckley and Bosworth Model Boat Club club has had to dissolve. It's final sailing venue was at Burton Hastings Fisheries UK where the owners decided that they no longer welcomed either fishermen or model boaters. Attempts were made to seek alternative venues but none came to fruition.
For those in the area that still want to sail I would recommend the Kingsbury Water Park Model Boat Club near Tamworth UK where all boats can be used and has a very active calendar. See website for further details. It's so sad that our hobby is so poorly supported and that there are only a handful of hobby shops left 😔
