Worrying Email query

Once Eric has picked up your reply I'd remove your email address so it's not in the public domain.

Better than that is to Private Message him via clicking on his name in his post and then amend or delete the post. To do this click on Edit on the righthandside of your post and if you want to delete you will find a wastebasket icon on the top lefthandside once you are in Edit.

Once all dealt with you can close your partners forum account via his Account.

Victor was my partner of 21 years and I can assure you that he was a member of your club. The key plus a model boat which he was building was returned to you via his friend Jimmy who was also a member. The boat was donated to a younger member. My message was not a scam or meant to cause any worry to your club, I just dont want any more emails from you. Thank you. My mail address is aughtoncottagecosy@live.co.uk

Worrying Email query

Hi Eric - don't think this was aimed at SMBC as such. Just happens your thread on here was selected/targeted. Not aimed at you either but the forum.

I say that because the same thing has happened on a couple of other threads, Scratch Built Hard Chine Yachts and Videos. Similar thing was said but that time it was "jonny".

As you know what you've shown in your post is an email notification that someone has posted on your thread as regards the SMBC website not working assuming you have notifications enabled.

On that thread I just assumed that the wife had randomly picked a thread to post on in her frustration but with you having a similar thing happen seems more than a coincidence.

What does Fireboat think about this? Hacker?

As Sec. of Southport Model Boat Club ⛵ I was concerned to read the message I received as shown on the attached screenshot. 'Victor Robinson' is not on my membership list and most of our 'ancient mariners' cannot recall such a name. This sort of message does SMBC no favours. I have attempted to respond to the message but my apologetic and understanding message could not be delivered as the 'recipient's' mailbox is full! Would the webmaster or Admin please contact writer 'Sparky' asap to prevent any further damaging social media aimed at SMBC and its 125 members😠? TIA Eric Morris
