Have just acquired this 54 inch fiberglass model. The superstructure is also a fiberglass casting. Has two Buhler motors, two 15 amp speed controllers and runs off a 12v lead acid. Tried today and works OK but nothing spectacular. I now need to source a set of plans for an Arun class lifeboat but if anyone knows differently please let me know. I intend to rebuild using various white metal and other castings and will replace the running gear and rudders with scale items. Looks good on the water, sorry no pics as the battery ran out before I had chance to take a snap on water. Anyone used brushless motors in one of these? I use one in my crash tender and am thinking two in this model will go well. Blackpool next weekend so hopefully I can find out more info on the model.
