Thanks Roy. I like hats! This one is an Akubra Territory version. I suffer in bright sun and this makes our Scottish summers bearable.

Grazie tant’ Alessandro! I think I was influenced by the South East Asian appearance of the model, it could have been a wildly extravagant Javanese pirate vessel. Also, my faulty memory might have been wrong about Lockdown; it could have been later. That should pin it down…

Some time ago the website posted a sequence of articles on the construction of a beautiful fantasy galley, I think by a member from Singapore or Malaysia. I seem to remember that this was before Lockdown. My #2 grandson wants me to build something similar. I have no intention of doing anything so magnificent; I don’t have those skills but I would like to show him the boat. Can any member help?
