Wow, that is an impressive score!
The SVEA has always struck me as one of the most attractive Nordic fishing vessels, and at 110 cm it's certainly not a small project.
From your photos, the quality of the laser cutting looks exceptional—those parts appear to fit together with remarkable precision.

I can see why you're excited about it. A true plank-on-frame build of that size is becoming increasingly rare these days, and the level of detail in the kit looks outstanding. It should make for a spectacular model when completed.

I think your plan is a good one, though. Finishing the NY Central tug first will let you give this beast the attention it deserves. On the other hand, I wouldn't blame you if the temptation gets the better of you and it jumps to the front of the build queue!
Congratulations on a fantastic trade. I'll be following this one with great interest whenever you decide to start cutting wood.

Frame up laser cut monster

This just came in a trade from my local boat maven Davey BoyzToyz. It’s the Nordic Class Boats Trawler SVEA marketed out of Sweden. I have never seen such a large kit with such exquisite laser cut parts. It’s 100% plank on frame which is more my style, but it goes on the shelf until my NY Central tug is done or i may hold off and make it my winter project.
