The last few days, I’ve been working on making a container to carry my receivers safely to events and on our camping trip.

Here is what it look likes; a hinged lid, a hasp, two handles. Cushioning in the bottom of each compartment.

I use foam pipe wrap to protect the antenna. The foam wrap comes pre-slit and simple fits over the antenna rod very easily.

You chose a great cruise ship company to sail with, it’s the one we sailed on to cruise the 7day inside passage a few years ago. Would love to do it again but this time taking the grandsons.

@Ronald Good luck, and have fun on your camping trip!
The Boundary Waters/Canada smoke has cleared out of our area. I hope it doesn't decide to descend on you during your camping expedition.
While I "can" and sometimes do still use a canoe, the boat we are embarking on next week is a little larger and more stable .....

So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

Getting Ready to go camping

Yes there are the usual preparations to go camping for a few days, setting up the tent and checking the gear, but I always take several boats along too.

This is a 3 generation camping trip in the upper NY state area. Previous years we were in Ontario. Canada, but this year we are going to try Lake Durant State Park. My daughter and her husband, my son and his family bring kayaks and canoes. I don’t have the flexibility to safely travel in a canoe anymore, the getting in I can do but it’s the getting out without getting wet, is the issue.

So grandpa sails from the shoreline and enjoys it!
