Yes that is a way. I was thinking about a phone app which could do this. A quick search came up with a speed gun app for use in measuring baseball pitching speed.

Has anyone tried something like this?

@cjanik001 Maybe a simple time over a measured distance?

STARTER flashes a signal to TIMER (waiting at the finishline) as the vessel crosses the start line. TIMER starts the clock. TIMER stops the clock as the vessel passes by. Easiest course would be one parallel to the shore.

I just reviewed my harbor and it does have some bogus numbers as well.

Seems like I have avoided entering the speed since I do not have any idea how to measure it accurately.

Can someone give me an idea how to measure this?

Harbour boat details

Not been on the site for a month or two and have just logged in today as I had a personal message to answer, i intended to reference my particular boat in the harbour, but on opening my harbour page I was a little embarrassed to refer to it. The reason being all the stats for each boat are farcical, what’s happened???, if it’s a glitch I’ll just have to edit each one separately and update the info so they are correct.has anyone else have this problem?
