As there seems to be a fair amount of interest in North Sea Drifters and the Britannia at the moment, and besides the fact it does take a fair bit of thought and planning to make this work, I thought I would share with you a few photos of how I managed to accomplish this task. Without a shadow of a doubt the biggest challenge ever was fitting a boiler and steam engine into a Clyde Puffer as everything needs to go at the extreme back end. Mind it can be done with a lot of thought, sprockets chains and lay shafts, not forgetting the bearings and housings for the same. The first steam engine was fitted to the Anteo a Harbour Berthing Tug by Panart which has to be the best ever kit with regard to instructions, brass fittings, and exceptional timber.
