More pictures of the day .....
So far my collection resembles "The Island of Misfit Toys". I've picked up several boats that are old builds and have been neglected. I'm giving them the TLC they need, hoping to bring them back to their former glory. Once I get enough practice/ experience I intend to take on a full build.

Edina Model Yacht Club "2026 Lighthouse Night #1"

Sunday, August 9th, we held one of our 2 annual Lighthouse Night events. We scheduled it in coordination with the Edina Parks Department, who had free ice cream, a steam kaleidoscope, and a Sousa Band followed by Fireworks. It was a warm sunny day, and there was a huge turnout. The club had our 2 vac-u-tug boats available for kids (of all ages) to use, and one club member brought 4 brightly colored sailboats which he also made available for guests to try their hand at. We start the event around 4PM, and we go until the sousa Band finishes at 9:30PM. Many of us added extra lights to enhance the effect after dark. The 2 Lighouse nights are always favorites with spectators.

Snoopy's Guns shoot water ....
The ever popular "Gravy Boat"
Scratch built Norwegian boat
My "Scrappy" tug, was not being rescued .... it was being kidknapped by the rescue boat driver
A club member decided we needed a pirate for the day.
