I think the little model that I run all those years ago was made with a pair of simple floats spaced apart under a flat deck.

A frame to hold the Cox BabeBee motor on the back was made high enough to clear the propeller.

With the motor fitted to the rear of the frame it was easy to start, but it had to run backwards with the propeller fitted on backwards to drive the boat forwards !

Fitting the motor to face forwards made it more difficult to start.

Fortunately the BabeBee seemed to run just as well in either direction.

@PeterN I was pretty sure that I had seen at least one on there when I had been 'browsing' previously.
I have to say, i don't really have any interest in owning one myself, I prefer classic design/style motor cruisers, that sort of thing, but perhaps @Ronald might like it.

@Ronald I'm pretty sure that I've seen air boat plans on Aerofred, and you can download them.

Swamp Dawg or something like it

Speaking of a Swamp Buggy, does anyone have plans for an Air Boat using a brushed motor and NiMH battery? I need a propeller guard cage too.

Like this Swamp Dawg but made from wood.
