Glad I could help. Regarding the rope ladder I've just had a look at the plans and the rigging isn't detailed. I can't just lay my hands on the "instructions" (though I'm sure I still have them) so can't check there. Then it occurred to me to look at the images on the Mountfleet website - to my surprise there is a rope ladder, so I must assume I didn't like the scale of it or something and just ignored it.
Theoretically though there IS a rope ladder. I'll have a more intense search for the instruction book and add any info I glean from it later.
Cheers,
Bryan
Update.
Found the manual! There is no specific detail regarding the shrouds per se and the ratlines in particular. But if you elect to rig them I'm sure its a matter of equidistant and parallel ratlines all the way up the three shrouds as far as is practical. As I said I didn't bother at all (all my crewmembers suffer from creative acrophobia!). The forward lantern is hauled up with a simple block and tackle and I've attached a scan of the page detailing the masthead detail and showing all the pieces. If you print it out to fill an A4 page its more or less to scale
Incidentally if you could do with more scans just ask.
Plus, if you (or anyone else) might be interested in two Mountfleet kits 3/4 finished (incl lighting) complete with manuals, 1/1 plan and the remaining parts (mainly white metal castings), I've got the Steam Tug Cruiser and the Steam Drifter Danny Boy up for grabs! I'll be posting photographs and further details here when I get my act together!
