Sand Serin,
Yours is coming along nicely and further ahead than mine.
Would appreciate a picture when you get chance please, I am thinking that this is the only practical approach. My boat is to 1:20 scale.

When I built mine I built the Platform from Evergreen Styrene angle and plastic card and used Carbody aluminium mesh for the floor, not correct I know but it looks ok.

I made the shape from plasic card, put the angle round it , and the supports underneath that can be seen, then painted it all black and put on the mesh, if you can wait a week or so I will send a photo of it close up

but heres a photo of mine half built

~What scale is yours?

Thanks, but built from scratch. Wish could bend it as would have done so. it is a very tight lattice type perforated platform.
Got some other suggestions though which Ibam exploring.

If its a kit, can't you get help from the supplier?

I don't know what this bit looks like but if I am scratch building something like that I make a wooden former and bend around that.

Have reached a stumbling point with my model. Attempts to fabricate the metal frame that goes under the external; steering position have been unsuccessful. How have others made this item or can it be purchased?
Thanks
