Spray rails

Thanks cannabis 😁 I don't think the commander had the rails on the bottom of the hull like the Swordsman, but I will keep it in mind if it miss behaves on the water.
Spray rails have now been fitted and waiting for Z-Poxy to harden

Spray rails

HI AlanP
I have the original plans of the Aerokits Swordsman(33 and 1/4 inch) it shows 5 pairs of spray rails on the hull bottom 3/32 inch square and another pair (1/8 by 1/4 inch) on the joint between the sides and the bottom.

HI Alan
Yes you will need spray rails unless you want water in the well in the middle. I added my 1:16" rails to the chine join

Spray rails

I have just been given a Sea Commander that was built in 1958 but never quite finished, it has been very well made and just needs painting and the running gear fitting.
I have the original drawing and build instructions, there are no spray rails shown on the drawings or mentioned in the instructions and none fitted on the boat.
I am guessing that it will need some, just thought I would check with you experts first 😁
