The Speedline CR1700 is powered but a 1700kv outrunner brushless motor fed from Lipo 3cell battery and a Fusion Hawk 50amp ESC. additional buoyancy was fitted in case of accidents. With that set up the performance is terrific and very stable

The picture shows a Speedline CR1700 model that is supplied with a brushless motor and all the required parts except the battery and radio. I have built one and it performs exceptionally well. The kit costs £99 from Speedline models

Well I dunno what it is or what the full sized was BUT the hardware you have is not going to perform well with high power.

Have a look here at high performance hardware

Ok now how long and how wide?

Does the top come off?

What's it made of?

Can you give us a shot of the interior

What motor is in there now?

What prop?

We will need rather more data than you have provided.

Pictures and dimensions would be a good starting point.

As to brushless motors the short answer is yes you can put a brushless into anything that a brushed motor could be used.

Brushless motors come in a VAST range of sizes and power outputs plus you have inrunner and outrunner options.
