What is this Vessel ?

Yes it was very similar above the waterline but was flat bottomed rather than a catamaran.

Hi Guys. Thanks for your ideas, not sure about the crabber idea unless it was working very shallow waters and no tide or weather issues (I have worked on a Devon crabber and it looks nothing like anything I have seen before) although the longlineing idea might be a goer. As for the Windfarm/workboat/anchor layer idea etc. I think that is the most feasible explanation. incidentally, it was sold the day after I posted this and went for £60.

I believe she is a catermaran workboat for laying anchors to postion barges etc for construction works, possibly working on the new windfarms.
There is something like it on the net, look for 16m workboat on www one2three.com.au

Looks like an inshore crabber, the port side rail opening and the hughler might also be for longlining with the winch to haul the line.

A lot of inshore fishing boats double up depending on the season. Looking at the condition if its a good price I would buy it

What is this Vessel ?

I have seen this boat for sale locally to me and I am stuck to decide what it's function is. It has an open stern like a buoy layer and note the seats for'ard of the wheelhouse. It has two winches on the deck and a derrick on the port side. It draws next to nothing and is flat bottomed. Any ideas guys ?
