What kind of glue can be used for porcelain

Hi Onetenor

I never thought of claiming anything till now, Bit to late I've already glued it back together!
My mom-in-law doesn't suspect a thing, but my con chance got the better of me.
she knows it was damaged in transit, she doesn't mind it because I was able to repair the thing.

What kind of glue can be used for porcelain

Having seen some reviews of Lazer Bond I wouldn't buy it /I think it needs a more intense light to cure properly

What kind of glue can be used for porcelain

Hi CaptLarry

Thanks for the info, I have glued my wife porcelain pitcher together using Loctite GO2 GEL some thick glue I had left over from one of my last models.
The pitcher is never going to be used, so it for show only which is OK. Thanks again now I know where to get glue to be used on porcelain.

Have a look at the Hobby Lobby website. They carry a cement specifically for ceramics.

if thin superglue is just wicking away have you tried assembling 2 pieces then adding superglue to the joint? it works on balsa wood and I doubt the porcelain is any more absorbent than that.

You could also try a gel ( thicker) superglue.

superglue !!!!!! use the thinnest you can find and watch out for your fingers.

OR you could try

I have never tried it but I know museums use something like this for repairs.

What kind of glue can be used for porcelain

OK, I know this question has nothing to do with any kind of model boat hobby!
but, what kind of glue can I or should I use to reglue a Porcelain pitcher my Mother-in-law sent my wife?
It broke in the mail it arrived in about four pieces.
Any idea will help.
