if all else fails you could use some Neodymium magnets they will hold it in place.

Hi Jon

Here's an idea, you could put a thin coat of petroleum jelly or marine model grease on the cover's underside. about 1/4" around the covers underside. This would help keep any water out that might splash onto the cover. This might help until you have the chance to dry it.

Thanks Alan, I'm probably worrying about nothing but I just didn't fancy leaving it unattended and find I have an issue with it on the water. Thanks for your reply.

Cant say that I have ever had spray water in the back tub, only wet I have had in there is when it has rained 😁

Good luck with your build

Thanks Alan, the cover I've built is quite a tight fit, I'm just a bit concerned that spray might wash over the cover and allow water to collect in the compartment.

Perhaps these photos of mine may help, the whole lot just sits in the boat.

Hi Jonbliss152

How about using Velcro or Double sided tape!
Just an idea. Or see what others might recommend also.

Hi can anyone lend advice on the issue im having. I'm currently building my first craft and need to work out how to secure the stern cover over the rudder steering gear?

Thanks Jon
