Yikes! I've just discovered that it's reached Munich. 'Pistachio Cake'!
At one of the best addresses in the city centre as well!
Must try it sometime, WHEN it's safe to go outside again.🌪️❄️☀️🌧️
We've had everything today; gales, blizzards, blinding sunshine, sleet.
Then; Once more - from the top!
Temp swings from +10° to -2° and back🤔

"green, blue, red and yellow" 😮 Sounds more like 'Devil Cake'.
I guess then with a bit of skill and experience at the 'confiserie' we'll soon be seeing it as national flags!
Start with a tricolour and work up to the Union Flag😁
Better be quick though, while it still is a union!

No, Doug, it's not Angel Cake. It's being made with really bright colours, green, blue, red and yellow with a preponderance of green. One cafe I've seen it, in the hospital actually they are calling it green cake., but I've now seen it in a supermarket cafe. I've tried it, but still prefer Victoria sponge.

A favourite food of mine, but have you seen the multicolour sponge cake that seems to be growing in popularity. I've noticed it is several cafes recently.

Good move Stephen.
An excellent and sensible solution I think 👍
The ads were most irritating especially when viewing the site on a mobile or tablet.
Furthermore it's a great incentive for regular users and visitors to this site to make a small contribution to the overheads and to be exempted from the advertising in exchange.👍😁

Apropos ""Steve has been sent the advert, and has now altered the settings to stop it "
I have it on good authority that from now on only Basic members (non-contributors/subscribers)
will see the ads. Also the Adsense categories have been revised to better filter out any dodgy stuff. Good work Stephen👍

The new balsa planks and square sections are 1 metre long! 😁😉
Apart from rescue jobs I think she'd make a great trials platform for stuff like my electromagnet or neodymium salvage crane idea💡
Maybe I should name her 'Jack (of all trades)' 😁
I hope at least that a scratch-build will help clear my mind of the fog of the snags I've run into with various refurbs and renos🤔

Re Martin its a shame I don't like big numbers
I'm exactly the same Red, get the noodles ready and go to cook them in the fridge, or heat a cup of coffee in the microwave and spend the next 15 mins looking for my cup. Finally remember where it is, re heat it and 2 hrs later find the cup of cold coffee and repeat, (sometimes up to 4 times). Go down to the garage and promptly forget why I'm going there and sidetrack to another job. 😐
Frustrating at times, but having had a couple of good hits to the head in accidents and being knocked out twice, little wonder. You have to laugh because if you couldn't see the funny side it's probably too late. There's always the old expression 'life sucks and then you die' which sums it up for the majority of people in the world. Sometimes luckily it doesn't suck quite as much😊.

Now where did I put my coffee.

Colin,
"I find it easy just add the digits of your age together and behave accordingly"
I agree with Red & Nerys👍
I'd end up with 14, not an inspiring age☹️
Guess I'll have to wait a couple of years and go back to 7.
Or eleven years and go back to 16, when life was beginning to get interesting with wheels and girls 😁
Think I'll wait three years and just reverse the digits

it was a very good year ...."😉

Martin its a shame I don't like big numbers - even adding it up comes to 12 - not a good age for me at the time ...........
Cant think how many times I have looked in the fridge for something I have cooked in the microwave - or gone to the fridge and cant remember what for............
Just as long as one does not get to the stage of looking at a propeller and saying "whats this for".........

Getting back on topic!
I now know what I'm going to do with some of my recently acquired wood stock 😮
(where are Janis & Jimi when you need them?).
Inspired by Billhook's excellent example I'll have a go at a Springer Tug.
Have collected enough Springer plans and info for others over the months and years😉
Make a nice change to scratch build from the stocks up instead of refits and refurbs.
It'll be a fun, and potentially useful, boat.
Now where did I put my Balsa cement!!??🙄
Cheers, Doug 😎

Hi Mike,
I see an ad for something called 'The Bulb'.
Leads to some incomprehensible ad for an indeterminate service!?
At the top is a reference to "Stephen's referral page".
A development I'm not keen on myself, whatever the ads are for.
Maybe not enough of us are contributing to the costs of keeping this site up and running!?
Mike; if you have a query about anything on this site, or want to report something you don't like, you can always send a PM direct to 'Fireboat' who does the coding for this site and is the driving force behind it.
By the way; his name is Stephen!

Adding the digits is a good idea, but it still puts me halfway through my teens. At least I don't have keys for workshops to worry about, the shipyard is at one end of the lounge, I just have to find the strength to walk that far.
