Well There are many examples on the net about foldin desks and work table that are masterpieces on their own; fashinating but I see it more on a garage or laboratory situation rarely in a dedicated room in a flat!

Funny enough pear drops are actually flavoured with a small amount of Amyl Acetate solvent. The stuff that smells so nice. it is also a brilliant cellulose solvent.I wouldn't drink it though👍👍

Generally I am jealous of people that have a work room with a workbench and no need to use the dining room or the kitchen as lab! Perhaps in a second life! Who knows!

Hmm! paints today are lead free and cellulose used to smell like pears and pineapples but the taste ??? 🤔

Hi Doug,as long as I cover any plants with polythene to protect from overspray the wife is happy she's also allergic to tomatoes so its only me who eats a little paint now and again no different than chewing lead soldiers as a wee boy

This topic went in a strange tangent ,being new to this addiction I set up in the spare bedroom its incredible how much I have accumulated in such a short time ,and how suddenly folk need to use the spare room I think its a subtle plan to make sure I tidy up and don't expand to far. already in the kitchen (general fabrication)and the greenhouse (spray booth)

OK, here is Serenity on my workbench! I told you the workbench is a mess. My other boats are on a table I found while taking my daily walk! the last picture is of my Barges. I've got one last Barge to spray.... My problem is if I tidy up, I'll misplace my things!
Oh, and my area of toys! Believe it or not. I have found each and every toy I have on the dresser... Except for the Controllers.... And my Volere.

Hope so! Usually when I'm looking for something totally different 🤔
Right now I'm spending more time sorting and labelling than building or sailing 😭

I forgot before sailing I enveloped the fruit with a piece of surgical latex glove, sealed it (cables out from back) and painted leaving the transparent angle just in correspondance of the lights 😎

A GRANDE RICHIESTA! as you asked me how I did it! it is very simple! ehm not so much but: you take the lobster (minipig submarine u16 new) take out delicately the pincers (the two motors) paying attention to isolate the cables for each motors, than take away from the body the fruit (the intere block including internal battery, receiver and jack to charge) than I substitued the two motor pillars of the original fairplay kit with the two mini sub pillars very similar in sembiance and proportions, painted than reconnect the cables of the two motors with tiny cable joint to the "fruit" fixed on the exact balanced centre of the ship hull (you can see by the photos: it is right between the two main internal hollow septs). You can use the front submarine lights to enlight the fairplay lower cabins. Take care it is a nonconventional very difficult and nerve raking work but with a little help (from my friends? Noo nobody here) from the lady luck instead you can obtain the result of a mad - merely responding to command - foolish steering - lovable tugboat. hope this pics can help (Excuse me but I sealed the fruit before fixing to the hull with a lot of electric tape and sealing paint to waterproof it! So I haven't images of it naked but it is a quite simple structure! 😱
P.S. Excuse for my neapolitan-deformed english I can't do better!

Hi, I 'solved' the 'wife problem' over 20 years ago! 😉
Now I have a GF who has her own apartment.
So half my kitchen is kitchen and the other half workshop. Coffee machine and microwave is never far away 😊 Also a bench for the rough stuff in my small cellar. For spraying: I do the big stuff, hulls etc, on the terrace which is partially covered. For the small stuff I have a mini-spray-booth, about 50x40x30cm, with an extractor fan and hose I can hang out the window! So I guess I'm not so badly off😉 Still have TOO MUCH STUFF though !!

Hi figtree, to transliterate what the locals here would say 'Me goes it good'!👍 I'm busily sorting out loads of bits and pieces and materials for various projects which have arrived from China, Holland and Germany this week, and find room in the 'kitchen workshop' 😲 Just ordered a new fine nozzle (0.2mm) airbrush and compressor for detail and weathering effects! At the weekend the Sea Scout repaint is on the agenda, or maybe the brushless fit first!? it's all go folks 😉

I am sorry for any misunderstanding the smitnederland was a plastic model at about 1/200. Scale and the small boat I took all the radio bits was one of them little boats that you can buy for about £8 it has two pods on the bottom of it with motors in it and the radio parts inside and battery with charging socket so all you do is take all the radio stuff out and cut the wires on the two pods and install it into the other boat and you will have forward revers on both motors letting you turn in both directions ok

I used the stack two motors; the circuits and the esc so as the control radio of the tiny submarine i got for the purpose; the weight was right to float correct by the waterline; you can see it on a video on my little Youtube channel (look at Salvatore Mazzarella ) rescuing a sunseeker predator yacht with many glamour ladies in the bathub.
P.S. unfortunately I am still living at work!

I believe it was the 1:1200 it was about 2.5" long.
