water tight boxes

I am building a model of an RAF Crash Tender.

I want to install the servo, receiver and speed controller and wish to put each in a sealed waterproof box.

I would be grateful if anyone knows of a supplier of such boxes. I have trawled the net without success!

You can use an Otter Box that is used for scuba diving, around $25.00.
The PLB scuba container is good, too, around $40.00USD.

easy and cheap are the throw away plastic containers hefty ziploc in the states and knock off dollar store units if it sinks there isn't much hope anyway all you really need to protect is from any splash or pump leaks

these are a few pictures of an old fire boat of mine, it is a nor star boat from the 70s I built it when I returned to model boats from cars thinking that I had to have everything in boxes and watertight, I made a lid out of perspex and put a seal under it, also epoxied the hull on the inside I put the radio on bearers I NEVER put them in a tray as all that does is keep the water in contact but if you put the bearers 2" from the bottom modern radio is so light so it does not cause problems and put a cover over the top
you wont have any problems unless you get 2" off water in then its sinking anyway a few pictures to give an idea

why bother? I used to seal my radio in perspex boxes back in the 70's and 80's when I was multI racing.
the only reason I did it was that the radio equipment cost a fortune back then.. and I couldn't afford to replace it as an apprentice engineer.
radio is at throw-away prices now! a servo is less than A£10 a 2.4ghz receiver only A£15, most modern speed controllers are waterproof and can generate a lot of heat so need some air around them.. putting them in a sealed box is not a good idea.
I just mount everything on the bulkheads above the line of any water ingress never had a problem even with a leaking boat

get your gear thrown in and go enjoy sailing it
