1/12 scale fittings

re 1/12th scale fittings , I too have had difficulties in finding what I want for my builds , so have resorted to making my own parts from brass , Im currently making ball cleats , Im also looking into the possibility of having them electro plated ! I also make masts, airels and light fittings should anybody else need them fabricating ?

1/12 scale fittings

HI Matt,
I am also com pleating a Solent class L/Boat. Try macsmouldings.co.uk for items like lifebelts, access doors, radars and other sundry fittings. They are resin cast and have excellent detail.
Good Luck

1/12 scale fittings

HI Matt
Rather thin on the ground, especially for the Solent model. Model Slipway do some 1/12 scale fittings in white metal and speedline models have some super detail stanchions. The aerials were fairly basic dipoles so I made mine from brass tube and rod, soft soldered where required. I made most of the other fittings from dowel or brass rod/tube but I do have a lathe so turning to shape was possible. if you need to make several bits the same you could try using polyester resin in a silicon mould made from one master - may be useful for the doors / window frames.
Good luck
