Fire Tender

Hi Justintime,

Is your Firetender still for sale, if so how much are you asking for it. Been following Robbob's excellent build and I think I've caught the bug.

crash tender

Hi,
Would you consider sending to the US? I could send payment including shipping cost to you however you like (transfer, money order etc) and once received you could ship over to me.
Regards, Frank

Boat for Sale

Thanks Ian,
I understand a £200 loss is a blow and I wouldn't like it either but you don't know my other half she hold the purse strings.
I hope you manage to find a buyer soon but I hope more that you can get your illness sorted out and get yourself in a better place, all the best and take care, Allen R

Hi Ian.
The majority of paint came from Halfords, the Simoniz red oxide primer for the anti fouling was an ebay purchase, I have also had some custom colour mixed, BS 381C Light Grey 631, and supplied in a spray cans for the decking and superstructure.
I hope this is helpful.

Hi Ian.
I notice from your pictures that you may have a drawings that I would be interested to see, it appears to be a 'cutaway' illustration of the boat.
Would you be so kind as to scan it and send me a copy?
Any other pictures etc that came with your kit could also be helpful for me.
If this is not convenient I will give Mike Cummings a call and ask him for copies.
Here's a pic of my boat in it's current stage of construction. 😄
I hope you enjoyed the boat show and picked up some useful goodies.
Thanks.
Rob.

Hi Ian.
Good news that that your ship is coming in, so to speak!
It should come with an up to date hardware list as we discussed, speak to VMW for more advice.
Glue: Zpoxy 30 minute PT39 9 oz pack, Titebond 2 aliphatic 16oz pack, 600 x 15mm brass (not brass plated !) pins. all from various eBay suppliers
Propshaft: 13" Maxidrive (8mm outer & 5mm shaft) 5mm thread both ends, X50 2 blade prop with 5mm thread, extra large rudder, oiler clamp system for 8mm shaft. All from Modelboatbits.com
Motor, controller & batteries: whatever is recommended by VMW or you own preference.
Lots of clamps too !
I hope this is helpful.

Aerokits 1/12 fireboat

I have just bought an Aerokits 1/12 fireboat off Ebay, but it is missing the fire/foam nozzels ( I think they are called that), can anyone suggest where I can buy such, or a plan so I can make my own, also missing are some of the cowl vents, same problem, if anyone can help. I will be putting photo's of the rebuild when I can get around to it.

HI there
I was up in norfolk for the last week and went into Anglia Model shop in Gorleston and got the Breeches Connection for the front cabin top for my crash tender, they also sell the foam monitors there they but they call them water cannons. They produce them themselves and are made of white metal. I think they only do one size of the foam monitors, but I'm not 100% on that, but have two sizes of breeches connection. They also sell the towing hook. they trade on Ebay as AMC direct and thier phone number is 01493 664815. they are very helpfull,Hope this helps you
