Hi Martin, the one on the far left in the pic is made to the same recipe as formerly issued on RN ships! 😜
Pussers (Purser's) is the nickname the Jack Tars gave it. 😉

Having worked often in S. America Cuba Libre is my favourite way of 'lengthening' rum. Saúde! 👍
Cheers All, 'Down the hatch' 😁

Bugger, thassa rum 'un, Doug! I thought Pusser's is what was issued to the Navy! That's always been the implication. So which rum WAS issued to the men in blue and white?
Whilst I do like Pusser's and have a miniature ship's decanter with some in, I also very much like a Wood's with a splash of peppermint cordial, which lengthens the drink (I'm a tight sod), but doesn't change it's essential flavour, or texture.

I'm a Bacardi Gold man myself. 😊
Stroh is virtually sold in brown paper bags here (South Bavaria)!!😲
There are miniatures of it at almost every supermarket checkout!
Very good for getting watermarks out of furniture though😁

Which one?😲
"Pusser's Rum is a brand name of rum produced by Pusser's Rum Ltd. Nine years after the Royal Navy discontinued the daily rum ration in 1970, the company was founded to produce the rum from the original Royal Navy recipe, using a blend of five West indian rums." Yum yum!😜
Name derived from the 'Purser' who would dish it out. Now the 'Logistics Officer' 😉

Thanks for the modelboats site, interesting, may well subscribe.

I'm about to re-furbish a aerokits 42inch fairy swordfish boat .
I started this project 30+ years ago, with a FOX 2 stroke engine
and a water jet propulsion system.
The engine was rejected due to the inference it caused with the
27Mhz radio system.[ I still have the engine and home made clutch, any interest I'll
send photos ].
Back to original request, any suggestions as to suppliers for fittings.
Tanks to Stephen for his e-mail.
