Trent deck colour

Thanks once again for the information. I have found that the "sprinkling sand" method of recreating the non slip surface can be a little hit and miss unless you take exceptional care to get the covering uniform. instead I have used a can of textured spray paint available from Halfords and then overpainted it with my chosen colour.

Something else you may want to consider.. I sprinkle a small amount of fine bird cage sand onto the deck whilst applying the first coat of grey. it gives a pretty good imitation of the non slip surface on the real lifeboats

Thanks for that - I had heard the Rover Tempest Grey was close but found it to be very dark. I shall look for the Humbrol grey Cheers

having built a Trent and now onto a Tamar, the nearest colour I have found to the current RNLI livery is Humbrol 165 Medium Sea Grey.

Trent deck colour

I have no doubt this question has been asked in the past but I can't seem to find the answer despite trawling through lots of posts. I am looking to identify the deck colour for a Trent Lifeboat. I would prefer an "off the shelf" solution such as car paints rather than have to get a version "mixed"

Cheers Shaun
