Aerokits fireboat scale, fittings & crew

HI Chris,

Many thanks for the info, really useful - I've measured mine and it's the 1/16th scale. I've seen some 1/24 scale figures that I think should look OK.

My boat is in pretty good condition - just needs a spruce up hopefully!

BTW, a general message: this is a great forum, loads of experts out there, a brilliant resource for novices to draw on, and some of the detailing on the models is incredible!

HI and welcome

The 34" Fireboat is 1/16 scale and the 46" version 1/12 scale.

Fittings for the 34" boat are available as a complete pack from Model Slipway ( See links page ) and various others sell figures in several scales although I don't know of any specific RAF marine craft types. Some while ago someone here was proposing to produce some but I don't know if he ever did.
Good luck with your renovation I'm sure you will find a lot of help here as I did.

Best Wishes
Chris

Aerokits fireboat scale, fittings & crew

Newbie here, so apologies In advance If these questions have been asked before...

I have an Aerokit Vosper fire boat, which I made with my dad over 30 years ago. I'd like to renovate It but have a few questions:

- I understand the kit came In 2 sizes but does anyone know what scale these sizes were? After searching the web I can only see the length of the kit In Inches

- Is It possible to buy replacement plastic fittings, as some of mine are missing or broken?

- Is It possible to buy crew members for the boat, If not exact then similar?

Thanks!
