Propellors

I always use a grub screw to lock my propellors where possible. I have lost a few myself mostly when using reverse.
Happy sailing.

Propellors

Me too Colin, but it was only a cheap plastic prop, which wound itself off my destroyer on the lake wall! I did go down and look for it when they drained the lake for cleaning. No sign of it☹️
Now HMS Hotspur has brass props with lock nuts and Thread Lock.
I'll also be fitting Prop Guards!!! Cheers, Doug 😎
Greetings from Sunny Spain. Taken lots of inspirational pics and video in the Marina here 😉
Young at heart 😉 Slightly older in other places.😊 Cheers Doug

Propellors

I use threadlock on all my metal props, and on larger ones I drill and tap for a grub screw in the side of the prop body. I've only lost 1 prop since 1956.
Cheers Colin.
Fair winds and calm waters,
COLIN.

Propellors

How do I stop losing brass propellors coming off my boats when putting the boat in reverse.
Am a member of Torrevieja model boat club here in Spain.
