thanks for putting that link on doug, I thought I had done it but I can see now it wont work. thanks to every body that donates. I have booked twice in the past couple of years then had it cancel hope to sail on her one day soon.here is my reason to save her built this some years ago

This is a worthy cause if ever there was one. Waverley will be sadly missed in the Bristol Channel this year particularly as Balmoral is also,out of service, not a paddler of course but a nice ship for a day's cruise. Alice and I had a lovely day out on Waverley a couple of years ago, we did the trip from Swansea to Ilfracombe, Lundy Island and back and had been looking forward to another trip this year.
When the winds before the rain, soon you may make sail again, but when the rain's before the wind, tops'l sheets and halyards mind

Strangely,I had booked the wife and I on a whole day cruise on the Waverley in August just days before the boiler damage was announced and all cruise's were cancelled, was supposed to do this last year for the good ladies landmark birthday ,our son had given us the tickets but due to the chemo had to postpone.
Hope I'm not a Jonah.

Waverley is proudly owned by a Registered Charity and regularly visits several areas of the U.K. including the Firth of Clyde, Western Isles, Bristol Channel, South Coast and Thames visiting over 60 ports and pier.
Unfortunately, Waverley has been withdrawn from service for 2019 and urgently needs new boilers or she will never sail again. We need your support now to save this magnificent vessel.

Waverley Excursions Ltd deeply regrets to inform our loyal customers and supporters that Paddle Steamer Waverley will not operate in 2019. As part of the winter maintenance programme we have been undertaking boiler works. Unfortunately, after extensive consultation and investigation it is now conclusive that the ship’s boilers require replacement.
We immediately face a significant challenge to raise the required funds to reboiler Waverley and return her to service. Waverley is owned by a Registered Charity which will shortly be launching an appeal to ‘Save the Waverley’ and ensure she sails in 2020. We fully appreciate any support at this time to help return Waverley to steam. Please donate now
