Yes Richard - this is the model - discontinued some time ago and replaced with the larger scale version - The problem with the larger models and there seem to be quite a few of them is the space needed to accommodate them once built. Having already seven models of different types ranging from the St Canute to the small Waveney plus some static models they are taking over the house !!

Stuart - just come across this thread . . .

Is this the boat you are talking about ?

http://www.modelslipway.com/rescue_boat/rescue_boat.htm

the web page is still showing but doesn't seem to be linked into the main site

I have one of these models (and it's still not completely finished yet!)

If I can help with any info or photos etc. give me a shout

HI Stuart
My last post was made about the time you posted your reply so you may not need to use the sources I suggested.
As you are near to the actual boat at Fowey it is possible that the Cox will offer you all the support and help with your build. if you ask nicely you may be able to get on board and take some really good detail pictures, including inside.

HI Stuart
Just need to build now. 😊 Research is probably best done before you get too far as until you select the particular original you will not know all the details. I used RNLI Motor Lifeboats by Nicholas Leach (ISBN 1-84306-341-7) to select my model of the Arun, but all types are in the book. 😊
Another good source of info is the Lifeboats Enthusiasts, they normally attend several large National model shows and have boxes of pictures of actual Lifeboats available for a small donation. 😊
You may also find Lifeboats-24 model forum useful. You will need to register, but its free and you may even be able to find crew members from your chosen boat. 😀
Good luck and we look forward to following your build blog and offering any advice help if required. 😀

Thanks for your good wishes - I do have one advantage in that the Trent Lifeboat at Fowey is just a couple of miles away and can be viewed at close quarters so I can take loads of photos Stuart Hunkin

Well done for finding the hull, now all that is left is the hard/longest bit, but do plenty of research first before you start the build, get as many pictures of a trent as you can. Ive found from building my Mersey class, you cant have enough pictures, and usually of the odd bits or at different angles to what you would normally take a picture "at". the RNLI [plans are good, dont get me wrong, but appreciate they are only in "2 D" , you cant be a photo for getting that third dimension of depth and angle.
Best of luck and look forward to seeing the build thread on this site and if any of us that can assist you, we will, rest assured!
Best wishes.

Have now acquired a 1.32 bare hull of the Trent and am waiting for plans from the RNLI to have a go at the superstructure - I think it may be long term project while I sort out the other stuff waiting to be competed. Stuart Hunkin Cornwall

HI Dave - thanks for your response - I have a billings Waveney prtially built, two baby severns sold by the RNLU and these are being modified. I would like to get a Trent of similar scale prefer a ready built or part built. The larger 1.16th is a super model by slipway but I just do not have room to store it. Maximum size not more that 24 inches. Stuart Hunkin Cornwall

HI hunkin
Welcome to the site.
Not aware of any Trent lifeboats at 1:32 but Billings used to do a junior kit of the Coast Guard cutter which is identical to the Waveney. I have built the larger version at 1:20 which is quite maneagable. I have a Slipway Trent but its 1:16. When you say seeking is that to buy ready built or are you perhaps looking for a plan?
