How long does it run before it stops?
It may be heating up, and popping the breaker in the ESC.
If this is the case, maybe a smaller propeller, or gearing the drive down to 1.5:1 or more might help.

Hello I hope someone may be able to help me.
I have a fireboat which Is fitted with a graupner 700bb 12v motor and a viper 40a esc which I have been advised will be ok for that motor.
It runs ok but will suddenly stop or not pick up or wont respond to the controller then will be ok again.
I would be grateful If anyone can advise me what may be the problem.
