"I'd quite like to forget them myself."
I forget enough other stuff 🙄 so why not birthdays?😁
Probably not however an advisable course of action for one's partner's birthday!!

Best thing is to have un-birthdays from when you reached 75 Nerys - then you simply get younger each year .......
Wishing you a belated Happy Un-Birthday

Happy birthday Nerys,
Don't get too drunk, but enjoy every minute. Life is too short to waste on doom and gloom.
Best wishes Colin and Caroline.
Fair winds and calm waters,

Great stuff Nerys👍
Have a great evening, I'll sink a Dufftown Singleton to your health😊😋
Alice is a heroine (Annie Oakley of the toolbox!) and (with the authority bestowed on me as Fleet Admiral of this motley crew😁) is herewith promoted to Honorary Lt. CMDR. Doesn't look good for Sea Trials on Saturday, gales all over W .Europe🌪️🤔
HMS Munich just lost two 'masts'😭, 2m cypress blown over!
Hope they die down soon🤞
Cheers, Doug 😎
WITH APOLOGIES TO HOWARD for thread-jacking.😔
(Fleet Admiral's privilege😊)
We'll continue on Night Watch tonight Nerys😉

Thank you Doug for your Birthday wishes, planning on going out for a nice meal this evening. Neither of us have been too well recently, but despite everything I have managed to make good progress on my current Thames Barge project. If all goes well and the weather will allow, she'll put to sea on Saturday, or at least, Cold Knap lake.
Luckily Alice made the shed weatherproof before all this rain set in, but is still to insulate and line the inside. However it is in use.

All the best, Nerys

Greetings Nerys 😊
How's things?
PMed you a week or so ago.
Was worried not to get an answer🤔, Redpmg (Peter) from SA is also concerned and PMed me asking if I'd heard from you. We missed you!
Has Alice managed to finish the new workshops?
Or at least weatherproof them!🌧️🌪️❄️😮
All the best to you both,
Doug 😎
Almost forgot😮!
Hope you are having a very Happy Birthday Nerys🎈🎁,
Many Happy Returns 👍

Now that's nostalgia for me on my birthday. As a child, living in Barry we frequently saw the flat irons coming in to load coal for the London and Littlehampton power stations. From my bedroom window, I could observe all the ships using the docks. There were often three of four in the docks at the same time. Interesting ships, very flat as the name implies, even their funnels lowered down to facilitate going up through the bridges to Battersea Power Station on the London River.
Cheers, Nerys

Hi Howard,
You might find something useful here, seem to be few books on the subject.
It's a start anyway 😉
