Excellent photos! Yours was in pretty good condition by the looks of it. I paid about £70 for mine but I like to keep that fairly quiet.
What happens to us on ebay? The red mist comes down but I'm looking forward to getting mine on the water now. I'll start up a post about it and show some photos of it as bought and how she is coming along.
I use IP Engineering products, for they are Vintage Model Boats, in my garden railway and they are excellent,so I Imagine their boat kits would be great too.

HI Ian, I was problably lucky, mine was as you see in the photo above it came with a Taycol Super Marine Special fitted, and very dried out but otherwise sound. The taycol motor will eventually find its way back onto Ebay when I'm ready, and make a few pounds. I paid £61.00 including postage, which doesn't seem too bad. There are some photos on the site of it and it performs very well. it did take a while to sand down and reseal. I like you, saw the ads for the vintage boat company after I had bought it. I also like you used to look at the adverts for the Wavemaster in my fathers old Model Maker magazines. The oldest advert was in 1952 October magazine priced £3-12-10 scary or what. I bought one on ebay a while ago but I had to pay extra for woodworm. I think if I'd known a new kit was to be introduced I might have waited.
There's a picture of one in Vic Smeed's old book Power Model Boats, and I have drooled over it for about forty years now! it seems that these new kits can be had for prices not too different for what you have to pay on ebay now for an old one, and isn't it good that there is sufficient demand to make it worth marketing them?
