I believe you can buy the Coast Guard version on line (Cornwall Model Boats etc). The basic structure is identical but you will need to modify to the Waveney layout and colour scheme. My friend has one he built so I know it can be done. Pictures of both models attached. Also pic of smaller version of Coast Guard (non sailing)

Welcome to the site. There are two versions of this kit. The larger version is quite suitable for conversion and is also available in the US Coast Guard version, scale is about 1:20, and about 30" long.
The smaller version is only about 12" long and whilst it is possible to add small motors and RC gear it is only suitable for very small and calm pools. I have one of each but have never finished the smaller version although I have seen finished sailing models.
