What motor size for S boat 1/35th

HI DAve, How did you know I "used" to be a flyer? Yep, I still have one of my old favorites, a Helicopter. Hirobo falcon, c/w 10cc Os engine.

To be honest, Ive thought about going brushless, but would prefer to get all 3 props turning with brushed motors, as I can then stick a sound module in too, as the space inside the hull is cavernous and ideal for a good base speaker, plus it will drown out the vibrations from the motors through the placcy hull.

Some people go 25mm props, but 35mm seems to be favorite, not unless you use the original ones supplied with the kit that is.I think 400 size motors might be pushing their limits, so possibly 550's? it would then have ample power, plus a bit "extra" to get you out of a tight corner me thinks........
Best wishes.

What motor size for S boat 1/35th

HI Gregg
Another fast model. Already have LiPo's just stick in a couple of cheap brushless with cheap ESC's then put a 400 brushed on the centre prop so you can reverse before you hit something 😁
I really think you are a grounded aeromodeller who wants to get airborne again 😀
Good luck with the conversion

What motor size for S boat 1/35th

An just about to start an r/c conversion on a 1/35th scale S Boat, just wondered If any of you had already done so and If you have, what motor sizes did you use to get a reasonable scale speed from It please.
Best wishes.
