Sail arms

Hi... thanks for that. We will have to make it a token genny I guess and then practice the timing and, as you say, let the wind take it round the mast. it is going to be interesting when we launch but thanks again.

Sail arms

HI, I don't think is is very practical as the genny will come aft of the mast, how much depends on the size (eg 50%, 50% or 90% )
The problem is getting the genny around the mast. From my bown experience in offshore saing, the only way was to come up into the wind, realise the genny from the winch and let the wind take the genny around. Didn't always work, and mostb occasions we had to "hand" it around.
Hope this makes some sense.

Sail arms

Hi.. I am building a model of a yacht we used to sail. (A Purbrook Rossiter Shelduck) The model Is 37" long with a beam of 13" Mast will be 48" and a large main sail. We are trying to keep It as authentic as possible and woud like to use a genoa with no boom. This creates problems with the sail arm servo.
I would be very grateful for any help.
