Power meter in use in case you didn’t come across it.

Just happened to be on line.
Yes, you can do as you suggest using two cells. For long enough I did exactly that as had only two x 2000 mA cells.
I use XT60s anyway as find then very reliable. There is a nice connector sold by Hobbyking that works well to parallel them.
The use of the meter is not quite as easy as described. Found my Brave to be so powerful static readings became difficult.
Ideally, you need power consumption in motion.
There is a type that records and retains maximum readings, would recommend finding that style.
Those can be fitted and several runs done. The max voltage, current & power are retained until cancelled.

Our pond isnt that big about 2x tennis courts so i was leaving the centre motor stick at 3/4 throttle for turning, as on my transmiter the left stick is not self centering. Then opening up the 2 outer motors to give a diagonal blast down the pond, so i surpose doing this would use some power up . A bigger pond might have shown a better power return, we will see next time.i did have our pond to myself by the way. Regards Roger

Thanks for that Andy, sounds like a great bit of kit to have in the tool box. I would have to change the connectors as i have ic3 type. Also it can be used on other boats as well so its not a lot for the correct info.
I was wondering if it would be possible instead of buying a 5000mha battery to get another 2200 mha same as ive got and use a y connector. Would this do the job and it would balance the weight to each side of the hull, or am i wrong??.
What are your thoughts.

Hi Roger. If I may I'd like to recommend a power meter. These are not expensive and install temporarily in between your battery and motor.

I paid about £12 and fitted XT60 plugs to suit my models and batteries.

You will of course have to test it in water with an assistant to hold it still or tether it.

I did this with my Stevn's Arctic tug, you might have seen the video? it proved the maximum current at full throttle to be only just over 20 amps each despite 85mm propellers

If you want to try it you can borrow mine but I won't be visiting Balne for a while.

A 5000 would increase run time.
Have found the "full speed" run time used is lower than anticipated.
A huge amount of real estate is covered at those speeds, creating wash and a potential hazards for other users.
Have found that I enjoy mixing high speed runs with more gentle ones and the run time then goes up.
Suggest see how it lasts in a more typical environment. I get around an hour with a 3500 S3 cell.

Roger, are you running all 3 motors off one battery?
If so, that will seriously reduce your run times.
Well done on getting to the bottom of the fuse blowing though.

Hi Roger yes the higher the capacity the longer the run time but it will be heavier. Can't get owt for nowt.

What voltage are you using, s rating?

Excellent news.
Really enjoyed the last videos you posted and well done on your continued progress on all fronts.
Re the batteries.
If you have one in your collection I would try a 5000 which should give you a much longer run time,but the time is dependent on the amount of discharge as you know.
If you run on full power all the time it will eat into your reserve of charge.
