Ron,
Have you got servo end limiters on your Transmitter.
If so it might be worth looking at the settings.

If it looks right it probably is.

Acceptable Rudder Movement

My Ville Class tug is at 22 degrees. I do not know if it is the Servo that limits rudder movement to more or something else? I have tried several linkage positions on the control horns both at Servo and rudder.

I use two control rods, and checking for freedom of movement before connecting to Servo arm, there is lots of freedom.

Still needs to be launched to know how it handles.

Acceptable Rudder Movement

Hi Ron,
After a quick around i found this.

Why Rudder Angle Limited to 35 Degrees ? Beyond 35 degree rudder efficiency is reduced due to formation of eddies on the back of rudder as the flow is no longer streamlined. ... The manoeuvrability does not increase beyond 35 degree, but rudder torque increases and ship's turning circle increases.
