    no it was built from photos it will be at the new woodvale site this year in southport 28&29 july in southport the small model slipway kit is nice size for a car boot but if you have more space the kitshack the larger one is nice also the slipway one is a formed cabin and hull the kitshack is wood a lot more work but your prefrence good luck micheal

this model was made by me from scratch of the london tug Ionia 56 inches long 12inch beam she has a bow thuster fitted to help the steering nav lights and cat diesel sound generator and its very heavy thats why its not in the water very often I getting to old to lift it in at 73 its a young man boat the hull is fibraglass but it looks so well in the water .

    Hi,I have now purchased Russels superb model,and it really is a beaut! it has now sailed into its new Port, near Falmouth, Cornwall.As was the real tug, it will be renamed "St.Mawes" and painted in the Falmouth Towage colours, to compliment my 2 other Falmouth Tugs,"St.Denys" and "St.Levan" The real tug, has long since been sold, reverted to her former name of "Ionia" again, and now lies rusting away, at Bideford,in Devon, where there is some talk of her being converted into a floating Cafe ! As for the model,I hope to be able to use it regularly, both for static displays,in aid of the RNLI, or indeed, on the water. THANKS Russ, for keeping your faith in me,I am so proud to own it.

34" 1968 Fireboat built as a Practical Electronics Proj
My Dad built this Fireboat 40 years ago, following the Practical Electronics magazine article. I watched as he built the plywood boat then built the discrete electronics; it was full of batteries but was great fun. I later fitted the 2-channel radio and then dad repainted it blue? its now time to give it some TLC and get it back as it should be.

1/36 scale LA Fireboat #2 challenges the Portland Fire Bureau's 1927 fire boat, David Campbell, at the Portland Maritime Heritage Festival 2008.
We Lost...New pumps for next year though. - - - 1/36 scale model uses twin graupner voith schneider drives, and twin ESC. Main power is 12volts for the drives, and auxillary pump, and one 6v for the main monitor pump.

my boat VIGILANT 1
The boat is scratch built,designed by Hal Harrison,contruction plan in Marine Modeling mag.whitch was designed as a freelance coastguard patrol boat .made from balsa/cardboard sise 18" aprox.weight 2.5kg.
Our model is 36"twin motors and all moving parts and weight is 10kg.

This is my latest project, bought for spares, but I wanted a challenge, so I'm putting her back to how she should look. She's a old one I do not know the make but she is of a equivalent size to my other Fire Floats...

    HI I have a Fire Boat like this, but did not know about its origins I find it much easier to work on than the Aerokits model. I must remember that it is a Norstar Kit. Regards Graham
