Hi, this is Hercules 51" L 14" Beam was scratched built
12 years ago . it's powered by 2 robbie 1000 off a 12v
battery with a vantec ESC . it has a working fire monitor
2 sound systems with 2 -4" Kort Nozzels .
It is all planked by Cherry veneer deck and superstructure
It olso has working lights for the night runs.
I run this tug evry weekend for the past 10 years and it
still looks new . I live in Whitestone NEW York and I
belong to the Empire State Model Mariners Club .

Scratch built from plans in 1989, will come out of retirement in a couple of weeks after getting a good overhaul.

just adding the little final touches and other small fixings. any tips on what sort of glue to use to fix all the small bolt heads around the rear deck main hatches? istarted the build last august so it has taken me 10 months to 99% complete the build including the Y boat,but still not had it in water yet but very soon

Built in 1987 from drawings obtained from Virgin Atlantic, 48 inches long (can not remember what the scale is). Will post more details later.

This vessel will set sail again 25years after her maiden voyage, just got to get her seawearthy again.

First stage of building the Cossack. I plan to build the hull out of fibreglass, the mould has been carved out of extruded foam. Then the foam will be covered in packing tape, then covered in fibreglass. Once the fibreglass has set the foam will then be removed from the fibreglass hull.

7 September, hull has been completed, started to build the superstructure

Does this one qualify? it took me almost 4 years to build this one. Scratch built from underhill plans. Parma made the fastest single journey in 1933 of 83 days in the grain races. the model is on permanent display in the Maritime Museum in Hull UK.

This is a fun boat!
With a steam engine that really runs, it is quite a crowd pleaser.
The tank and parts are brass, and silver soldered together. The heat source is sterno, placed in the tray and Ignited. This boils distilled water in the boiler, which is vented to the piston. The hole in the freeboard is the "exaust".
I'll have to post a video of it operating.
