I am not sure how you will be able to fit rubber bellows to prevent water ingress.

Probably not Martin, but I'll figure something out, - perhaps some bituminised cloth made into a tube? Won't need much as the slots will be much smaller when it's all done. Just a bit large due to all the experiments, - plus they are quite high up, and I may be fitting a bilge pump. Was going to buy some boots from Ali Express, but the prices are stupid.

Ali Express is starting to get like HK, now that HK has been going down for a while,- every time you go back to buy the same item from the same seller, the price has gone up 1 or 2$. Everything's double the price it was 2 yrs ago and free shipping has been slowly disappearing! Going to be cheaper to build a real boat soon! Chinese are starting to take advantage I think, now that the govt has background control of A Exp and are probably trying to suck more money out of the sellers and A Exp as a whole, like they do with all large businesses there.

Thank you. She was a challenge to build becuse the class changed aft the first three ships were built. All other after the third were completed with one aft mast and several different boom configurations. Interestingly, two of the original design hull went to the RN via Lend Lease and served the Australians. After the war they were sold to a British Columbian Tugboat firm and made historical reputations for themselves.

Great looking boat. Looks well balanced and skipper looks relaxed.

There is a lit of movement on the pushrods.
I wonder if it is worth fitting flex cables instead of solid pushrods.

Thought about that Martin, as I have plenty of aircraft ones here. Rods are a bit rough as they are not attached to anything on the other side, (just trying the movement)would need to be set to run smoothly,- rods could also be curved to run better. One good advantage of flexible cables is no rust/or need for oil😀. Only thing is, they would be very short and by the time you fit clevises they might only be an inch long! Worth investigating though, once I figure out how to mount the servos. Thought about running long cables from mid hull, but I need to have an engine box at the back as short as poss and they might not curve enough.

Just an observation when the jet is pointing rear then left a right appear to be sending water L & R but when the rear cup is dropped in place does L & R get reversed due to the curvature of the cup ?

Hi Mike, the bucket has a divider in the center, so when the bucket is down and the nozzle is pointing either side, the water is diverted out that side (at least in real life😀) ie. nozzle points right, water comes out right,- (pushing stern left) nozzle straight ahead,- braking, - nozzle partially up, neutral (in a full size boat, jet runs all the time with motor,-no real need for this with electric. Bucket will be on a TX rotary sw to allow easy positioning (or perhaps on a 2 pos sw).

Will no doubt need to make some mods once in the water as this is experimental (don't think I'll fluke it first time) ie, may need the bucket to go down further (cup more) nozzle bottoms closed in etc. Fun playing though😁

Looks great!, I think it looks more scale like with a bit of roll, just like a full size displacement hull. As long as it's ballasted so it won't roll over it will be fine.
