Sterling Runabout
All the feed back on my American Scout seamen on deck I think this will really get some colorful comments. Sterling runabout 30”
weighs 5 1/2 lbs. power MACK 5045 motor 12 volt 2 x 3000 nimh batteries. Pilots head turns with rudder movement passenger waves flag on elevator input while towing skier. Built to impress my granddaughters.

American Scout C2 cargo ship power MACK 3-1 drive 12 volt 2 x 6 volt 3000 mah batteries. Harbor smoke unit model weighs 15 lbs.

S.S. AMERICAN SCOUT C2 Merchantman
Ahoy
Here is my vintage 1958 Sterling American Scout Runs on a old Babcock citizenship all tube radio. the great great grandfather of RC as we know today. all those years and it still works. I was 18 years old when I built this kit. I have a underway video to go along with post. Boats

    I have a bunch of them I will be posting a few more here I am happy to share these here. On most of my plank and frame builds I fibre glass the hulls and seal the insides with resin. if you dont over the passing of time the planks will seperate and you will have to do the the job all over again. thank you for your reply Boats

    It is nice to see some super new models on the site and I hope that we will see more as I expect that deckape has many more, as he has been modelling a long time.

    I look forward to seeing them, a little request, can you increase resolution so that we can see the detail a bit more.

Sterling American Scout
Here are a couple pictures of my 1957 SS AMERICAN SCOUT C2 Merchantman. powered with a dumas 6 volt superpanther electricmotor, For RC opperation the ship is radioed by a 1960 babcock citizenship tube radio atae of the art at that time nowdays it is a relic or dinosour. BUtttttttt it still works. I am going to take her out for thefirst time underway sail scince 1960 I will update this post with pictures of her underway. But here are a couple stil pictures of her.     Looks a bit like the United States, the real one, now in Philadelphia in a very sorry condition. I saw her once in Plymouth Sound when I was in the RAF at Mountbatten.
