posting video on youtube and copying link into forum post

hi everyone
Recently i had forgot how to post a video and add a link to my post.
i searched the site but could not find the answer (probably looked in the wrong place anyway).
this is what i did
I opened youtube and signed into my account.
clicked on upload video.
found the file in my gallery and uploaded,
the youtube page shows a bar overlaid on the file as it uploads and then says when it is completed
then i clicked on the video to play and it started.
underneath the playing video it said COPY LINK
I clicked this and the link was copied to the clipboard.
I then opened the model boat web site and found my original post and clicked EDIT
At the bottom of my text i pasted the link.(Ctrl V) and reposted the amended post.
i hope this is understood,if not or needs tweaking let me know
good luck
