It is nicely painted and I have been tackling leaks, there were many but I have a small one left which I think maybe through wood layer under paint. It is slight compared to the previous ones. I have replaced prop tube and around and know that is fine.
I have got rid of bow leaks where the wood meeets the vertical keel, so just left with a posssible layer on layer problem.
I think the final solution is to paint with epoxy over the whole hull and where ever the leak is, just lose it.
Question is will the epoxy affect the enamel paintwork? Most of it has already been painted over with yacht varnish several times. It is a good quality varnish surprisingly found in our local pound shop although it went up to £2.50 and I have used it for several years now.
Which epoxy should I use and how long does it take to dry. Also is this a one part application rather than mixing two things together?
I do not want to use cloth, just looking for a hard coating.
Hope someone can help.
